This is a video that I recently completed. It kinda sums up my feelings on my relationship with Jesus and contemplating Mark Chapter 1 verses 7-11.

“I Can’t Believe”

Music and Lyrics by Michael Smith

<Chorus>

I cant believe I can’t believe

That you want to spend time with me

I don’t deserve the love you have for me

I can’t believe I cant believe

That you’d take pain for me

I’m not the friend that I know that I should be

It doesn’t matter where you are

Or where you choose to go

There’s always someone hanging on your words

I wish that I had seen

Everything that they all see

To see just how special that you are

<Chorus>

Your eyes they are so kind

They look right past my flaws

You’re there for me whenever I need you

Sometimes I think you're crazy

Sometimes I think I’m numb

Help me please I know that I am lost

<Chorus>

Deep down I feel so dirty

I see that you’re so clean

You say that you could help me if I try

You’re holding out your hand

Is this my final stand?

I want to be the person you see in me

<Chorus>

So many people gave up

A long long time ago

Yet you still think that I can be saved

Everyone shakes their head

Some whisper I’d be better dead

But you won’t hear a word of that, no way

<Chorus>

As I trip and fall

You’re right there by my side

You mend all my bruises, cuts and burns

You look into my eye

You say that its alright

You bring me right back where I do belong

I finally see I finally see

Why you want to spend time with me

I know that I’m not perfect by far

I finally see I finally see

Why you take the pain for me

I want to be the man you see in me

Gospel Mk 1:7-11

This is what John the Baptist proclaimed:

"One mightier than I is coming after me.

I am not worthy to stoop and loosen the thongs of his sandals.

I have baptized you with water;

he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."

It happened in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee

and was baptized in the Jordan by John.

On coming up out of the water he saw the heavens being torn open

and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him.

And a voice came from the heavens,

"You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
