"Come Together" , a Poem

Can't we come together

To learn, to live, to love

To one another strong

To honor God above

I know it's hard to see

From the path that you have come

But I was sent here to help you

To cast away, to overcome

Can't we come together

Even though we don't agree

Can we cast aside the chains

That keep our hearts closed tight

You and me together

We hear God in different ways

But let's not yet stop talking

If we do we will never see

Can't we come together

Together we do so much

The love we share can spread so far

Through love we have enough

So many more are lost and cold

And cannot find their way

God is calling you and me

To be his messengers today

Can't we come together

And let cooler heads prevail

We all branch out from the same vine

With different fruits to bare

Cant we step aside now

To those who'r chosen to lead

Let faith in God bring us together

As Satan sews his seeds
