Loving My Way Through It

Matthew
26:14-25

One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?" They paid him thirty pieces of silver, and from that time on he looked for an opportunity to hand him over. On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples approached Jesus and said, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?" He said, "Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, 'The teacher says, "My appointed time draws near; in your house I shall celebrate the Passover with my disciples."'" The disciples then did as Jesus had ordered, and prepared the Passover. When it was evening, he reclined at table with the Twelve. And while they were eating, he said, "Amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me." Deeply distressed at this, they began to say to him one after another, "Surely it is not I, Lord?" He said in reply, "He who has dipped his hand into the dish with me is the one who will betray me. The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born." Then Judas, his betrayer, said in reply, "Surely it is not I, Rabbi?" He answered, "You have said so."

You know it's easy for me to read this and get mad, but here is the thing that struck me today. Jesus, KNEW, he was going to be betrayed. He knew it. Yet he still went on and he LOVED. He loved from the bottom of his heart. He knew what they were going to do to him and he still carried on out of love. This just BLOWS MY MIND. I can't tell you how many times I have backed or flat out walked away because I wasn't received well.

I feel today inspired reading this because I want to be like Jesus. I want to make music that sings of his love. I want to make music that shares how he makes me feel. I want to make music and write things that take about turning a blind eye to evil and driving through with love like Jesus did. It's easy to love when things are going good, I want to become strong like Jesus and love even when it is not easy. I want to love everyone like I love my children. My kids drive me nuts some times but I still love them and do what is best for them. That is the love I want to share with everyone whether it is how I treat them to how I create

Jesus,

I love you very much and I am so sorry that you had to go through all that you did on the cross and before after they arrested you. Your love runs so deep it's inspiring. Thank you for inspiring me. Thank you for loving me. I know that I don't always do the right things. I am sorry. Forgive me. I want to love like you. I want to follow your teachings and your ways. Help me to use the gifts and talents I have to spread love in this world. I want to just love my way through everything, even when it is hard. I'm going to need your help with this for sure. Thank you Jesus.

In Jesus Christ's name I pray,

Amen.
